PARTERNSHIP IN NATURE VIDEO

This passage describes different types of relationships that exist between organisms in nature. A symbiotic relationship is a partnership between organisms. Many symbiotic relationships are mutualistic. In a mutualistic
relationship, organisms help each other survive. A bird cleaning a large animal is an example of a mutualistic relationship. The bird gets a meal and the animal gets cleaned. In a commensal relationship, one partner benefits from the relationship, but the other is neither helped nor harmed. A bird building a nest in
a tree is a commensal relationship. The bird has protection and shelter, and the tree is neither helped nor harmed. In a parasitic relationship, one partner benefits from and hurts the other partner. A flea feeding on the blood of a dog is an example of a parasitic relationship.
